About Junkyard of Eden

The Artist

Art has always been a part of my life, even from a young age, which set me on my path to a creative field. No matter where I was, I always wanted to draw and would need a new sketchbook every few weeks. I considered it part of my identity and found myself consistently thinking to myself, "How can I draw that?", about nearly everything I interacted with. Aside from visual arts, I grew up dancing ballet, singing in choir, and performing in school musicals and ballets such as The Nutcracker.

Drawing has been my safe space for as long as I can remember and remains to be such into the present.  I have always been an imaginative person, often spacing out into daydreams or playing made up games with myself as I grew up, which made drawing the perfect outlet. Both creatively and emotionally. Whatever comes my way, I always turn to art as a way of weathering the storm.

Going into college, majoring in art was the obvious choice for me, and in May of 2025 I graduated with a BFA in Illustration and Animation with a focus in Pre-production. Now that I’ve graduated, I want to pursue work in the film industry in order to help tell unique and impactful stories, and build exciting worlds to explore, while also pursuing more personal projects on the side.

My Specialties

In terms of genre, I tend to gravitate towards more fantastical and horror concepts, drawing a lot of my inspirations from artists like Junji Ito or Satoshi Kon. While I'm not limited to these two genres, they are where my creativity flourishes. Storyboarding and Visual development are my areas of expertise and where I feel most at home artistically. However, I am always open to learning new skills and branching outside of my comfort zone. I always strive to grow as an artist and expand my knowledge across different skillsets.

The Goal

I hope to work largely within the animation film and tv industry, particularly as a storyboard artist or concept artist. I have always had a passion for storytelling and aim to make my artistic vision be seen and heard. Aside from a career sense, I am working on personal projects such as a fantasy graphic novel/comic in hopes of potentially making my own stories my livelihood. In some way, I hope to be a storyteller in a visual medium, whether that be animation or comics.
